PURPOSE

To carry out repair and maintenance of all Mechanical equipment and ensure effective utilization of Mill Capacity.

THE JOB

• Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance activities of all mechanical machinery, equipment, etc.in the assigned shift for the smooth running of the production activities to meet business goals.


• Execute and supervise the repair of motors, pumps, conveyors, and pneumatics issues in and around the mill for smooth operation and effectiveness in the assigned shift.


• Coordinates the mechanical activities of men and machines in the assigned shift for prompt and optimal operations.


• To work with HSE team to ensure departmental compliance with policies and programs geared towards a safe working environment.


• To work with team members to ensure minimum downtime in the plant.


• To ensure that all machine guards and isolations are in place for safe working practices and maintenance.


• Coordinates the mechanical activities of men and machines in the assigned shift for prompt and optimal operations.

THE PERSON MUST

• Have good verbal and written communication skills.


• Possess remarkable problem-solving skills.


• Have strong interpersonal and teamworking skills.


• Be able to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 O’ level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.


• Technical Certifications will be an added advantage.
