Job Description
As a maintenance specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and availability of plant assets by effectively implementing and supervising planned and scheduled maintenance activities. You will drive operational excellence through SAP utilization, cost-effective maintenance planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
IS THIS YOU?
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or relevant disciplines to the role.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical roles within FMCG manufacturing, preferably in the bottling industry.
- Proven experience in executing maintenance tasks, including preventive and condition-based maintenance.
- Hands-on experience in project management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of modern maintenance methodologies and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
- Effective knowledge and usage of SAP for maintenance execution and reporting.
- Familiarity with budgeting procedures and cost reduction initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using business performance tools.
- Ability to engage and work effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office applications for reporting and data analysis.
- Ability to identify maintenance challenges and implement effective solutions to enhance equipment reliability.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and oversee the execution of planned and scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime.
- Implement preventive and condition-based maintenance strategies to enhance asset efficiency, reduce breakdowns, and minimize mean time before repair (MTBR).
- Collaborate with Maintenance Systems Engineers (MSE) & Maintenance Planners (MPs) to organize and execute annual overhauls of production lines and facilities.
- Assist in preparing and managing the annual plant maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources while maintaining operational excellence.
- Work closely with the spare parts store personnel to ensure optimal inventory management, avoiding shortages and excess stock.
- Utilize business performance review tools (COBRA, EATB) to track and improve asset management processes, driving efficiency and sustainability.
- Foster strong working relationships with production, quality, logistics, and union representatives to align maintenance activities with overall business objectives.
- Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) standards, regulatory requirements, and best industry practices.
