Purpose of the Job

• To carry out installation and maintenance services of electrical systems and repair of machinery to enhance the performance of milling equipment.

The Job

• Observe and comply with all occupational Health and Safety procedures and meet statutory electrical codes.


• Install, maintain, and repair electrical installation, wiring, components, and industrial panels equipment and machinery deployed for milling and packaging in Flour Operations, to the correct specifications and standards.


• Carry out machine inspection tasks and update all necessary reports.


• Attend to all reported faults promptly to find solutions to reduce production downtime.


• Carry out planned maintenance according to schedule. 


• Ensure that all completed repairs and planned maintenance jobs are signed off, and job cards submitted to the Planning Manager.


• Record and monitor electrical device readings for review and evaluation.


• Carry out housekeeping functions to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 5 O’ level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings.


• Technical certification would be an added advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.

The Person Must:

• Have good verbal and written communication skills.


• Understanding of electrical circuits, wiring, and electrical systems.


• Ability to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, and systems.


•  Knowledge of electrical testing and troubleshooting techniques, including use of multimeters and other testing equipment.
