To play a crucial role in overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of all civil work related to the facility.
- Coordinate with design engineers, procurement teams, and contractors.
- Supervise all civil construction activities, including excavation, foundation work, structural construction, and finishing.
- Ensure adherence to relevant civil engineering standards and project specifications.
- Address cost variations and work on cost-saving strategies.
- Handle site issues, disputes, and technical challenges efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, material usage, and workforce deployment.
- Provide regular progress updates to management and Project Manager.
- Ensure proper documentation of design changes and construction modifications.
Requirements
The Civil Construction Manager should have:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering and relevant Certification.
- Diploma/Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 15 - 20 years’ experience
- Oil & Gas/Water Treatment Plants, Roads, Construction & Building works
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
- Ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Experience in Water Treament Plant (WTP) Civil Construction Preffered
- Experience in planning, scheduling, and executing construction projects.
- Budgeting, cost estimation, risk assessment and problem-solving for site challenges.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Ability to manage contractors, site engineers, and labor teams.
- Strong decision-making skills under pressure.
