Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, review, and approve structural designs, drawings, and calculations.


• Perform load analysis, stress testing, and risk assessments to ensure structural safety.


• Select appropriate materials and construction techniques to enhance durability and cost-effectiveness.


• Lead structural engineering teams in the planning and execution of construction projects.


• Oversee site inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.


• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and regulatory bodies for seamless project execution.


• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.


• Conduct structural inspections, assessments, and audits for existing and new projects.


• Identify and mitigate potential structural risks before and during construction.


• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams.


• Conduct training sessions on best engineering practices and innovations.


• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving within the engineering team.


• Organizing materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean.


• Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on projects.


• Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best values.


• Authorizing technical details and engineering plans.


• Drawing up work schedules, POW and communicating any adjustments to team members and Management.


• Gathering data, compiling reports and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.


• Delegating tasks and scheduling meetings and training sessions where required.


• Completing quality assurance and providing feedback to the team.


• Any other projects as may be assigned.

Essential Requirements

• M.Sc in Civil/Structural Engineering/Building 


• 10 – 12 years of executive-level experience as a Senior Engineer in a related field


• Registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) or CORBON.


• A member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) or NIOB
