 Job Summary: 

• Welcome2Africa International is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Agent to work in the agro-allied industry, specifically focusing on cocoa production. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing cocoa nibs, cocoa beans, cocoa pods, and cocoa shells from farmers in cocoa-producing states, building a robust network of suppliers, and ensuring a steady supply chain for our trade and investment operations. The Field Agent will play a critical role in strengthening our presence in the cocoa industry and ensuring the quality and reliability of our suppliers.

Job Description 

Field Operations: 

• Travel to cocoa-producing states to meet with farmers and cooperatives. 


• Identify and establish relationships with farmers who can supply cocoa nibs, cocoa beans, cocoa pods, and cocoa shells. 


• Conduct field assessments to evaluate the quality and quantity of cocoa nibs, cocoa beans, cocoa pods, and cocoa shells available. 

Supplier Network Development: 

• Build and maintain a network of reliable suppliers of cocoa nibs, cocoa beans, cocoa pods, and cocoa shells. 


• Negotiate pricing and terms of supply with farmers and suppliers. 


• Ensure compliance with company standards and ethical sourcing practices. 

Market Intelligence: 

• Gather market intelligence on cocoa production trends, pricing, and supply chain dynamics, with a focus on cocoa nibs, cocoa beans, cocoa pods, and cocoa shells. 


• Monitor competitor activities and identify opportunities for improvement. 

Reporting and Documentation: 

• Maintain accurate records of supplier interactions, agreements, and transactions. 


• Provide regular reports on field activities, supplier performance, and market conditions, including insights on cocoa nibs, cocoa beans, cocoa pods, and cocoa shells. 

Collaboration: 

• Work closely with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of sourced materials. 


• Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to identify and onboard new field agents as needed.
