We are looking to hire an Editor for our client, a faith-based content development and editing company.
The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of editing and proofreading.
Job Responsibilities
- Reviewing and editing written material for grammar, style, and factual accuracy.
- Collaborating with writers, designers, and other team members to maintain consistency and coherence.
- Approving proofs and ensuring adherence to publication standards.
- Developing content strategies aligned with the publication’s goals.
- Identifying trends and topics relevant to the target audience.
- Ensuring content adheres to brand guidelines, tone, and voice.
- Approving final drafts before publication.
- Reviewing and improving written content for accuracy, clarity, and quality.
- Coordinating with writers and stakeholders.
- Ensuring seamless content flow for publication.
Person Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an editor, preferably in publishing, media, or online platforms.
- Exemplary editing and proofreading skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies.
