  • As a Logistics and Delivery Officer, you will be responsible for executing daily delivery tasks and ensuring efficient transportation of resources to various locations, including warehouses and field sites.

  • Your main focus will be on timely and accurate delivery execution, resolving operational challenges as they arise, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

  • You will collaborate with transporters and internal teams to ensure smooth operations, requiring some guidance and support from your manager for complex situations.



Key job responsibilities




  • Daily delivery execution

  • Plan and execute daily delivery schedules in coordination with transporters and warehouse staff.

  • Track delivery performance and report any discrepancies to your manager.

  • Ensure all deliveries are executed on time and within agreed parameters.

  • Communicate delivery updates to relevant stakeholders.

  • Cost Management and Compliance

  • Monitor and report delivery costs, suggesting improvements when possible.

  • Ensure transporters adhere to predefined routes and pricing agreements.

  • Support in managing payments to transporters by receiving and reporting invoices

  • Improvement Initiatives

  • Support the team in identifying areas of improvement in delivery efficiency.

  • Participate in feedback collection and process reviews to enhance performance.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to address routine delivery challenges.



Qualifications and Required Skills




  • 1-2 years experience in logistics operations, including managing inventory, and warehouse operations.

  • Diploma or a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in the supply chain, economics, business administration, or related fields from recognized institutions with a Nysc certificate or Discharge letter.

  • Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency in email, internet usage, Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Google Suite for data analysis, presentation, and report writing.

  • Proactive in identifying issues within the logistics process and finding effective solutions.

  • Demonstrates integrity and a positive attitude
