Job Summary
- The HSE Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, national, and industry regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and review HSE policies and risk controls to ensure compliance.
- Investigate incidents, conduct training, and enforce safety regulations.
- Manage emergency response plans and track safety performance.
- Implement environmental management systems and control waste and pollution.
- Develop safety training and monitor environmental impact.
- Recruit, train, and manage plantation staff and employee relations.
- Ensure compliance with environmental laws and sustainability strategies.
- Stay updated on regulations and maintain legal compliance.
- Conduct HSE training, raise awareness, and promote a safety culture.
- Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and report to authorities.
- Analyze and report HSE performance to management and stakeholders.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Agriculture Science, or related fields.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Agricultural Economics, related fields (preferred).
- Professional certification in Health and Safety is an added advantage
- Minimum 5 years of experience in oil palm plantation management.
- Experience in managing teams, including supervisory and leadership roles.
