Job Summary
- The Plantation Harvesting Officer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating harvesting operations in a palm oil plantation to ensure efficiency, productivity, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement plantation strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Lead and manage the plantation team for optimal performance.
- Ensure efficient use of equipment, labor, and materials.
- Develop and implement safety training programs and monitor compliance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local communities and ensure compliance with engagement policies.
- Coordinate logistics, transportation, and supply chain for timely delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Agriculture Science, or related fields.
- Certified Agricultural Professional (CAP) etc. is an added advantage
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Oil Palm Plantation management.
- Proven track record of successful plantation management, including yield improvement.
- Experience in working in Nigeria or similar tropical environments.
- Experience in managing teams, including supervisory and leadership roles.
