Job Summary
- The Factory Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire production process in a palm oil processing facility. The role ensures efficient and cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality standards, regulatory compliance, and workplace safety.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee oil palm processing and production, ensuring efficient utilization of raw materials, equipment, and labor.
- Track and analyze production metrics, including yield, quality, and throughput, while implementing schedules to meet deadlines.
- Plan and manage equipment maintenance, coordinating repairs, replacements, and performance optimization.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures, conducting regular audits, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing emergency response plans.
- Supervise raw material procurement, overseeing logistics and transportation for seamless supply chain operations.
- Develop and oversee factory budgets, tracking expenses, optimizing costs, and implementing cost-saving strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with local communities, overseeing community development initiatives.
- Prepare and submit performance reports, ensuring accurate production records and compliance with documentation requirements.
- Manage factory infrastructure and utilities, overseeing security, access control, and cross-departmental coordination.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration (MBA), or related fields (preferred).
- Professional certification is an added advantage
- Minimum 5 – 7 years of experience Factory Management, Operations Management.
- Proven track record of factory management success.
