Position Overview
- As we continue to expand our global presence, we are looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager – Affiliate Marketing & E-Commerceto help us build and foster strategic partnerships, boost online sales, and enhance our affiliate marketing programs.
- The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to drive growth in our affiliate marketing and e-commerce channels.
- This role will involve identifying, establishing, and nurturing new affiliate relationships, while also seeking out potential business partners that align with our brand values.
- The BDM will work closely with internal teams to create synergies between affiliate marketing, e-commerce platforms, and business development goals to maximize revenue and brand visibility.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in affiliate marketing, e-commerce strategies, and partnership management.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership Development:
- Identify, evaluate, and establish long-term affiliate partnerships with companies, influencers, and content creators that can drive sales and expand the brand’s digital presence.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers in relevant industries to secure strategic partnerships and collaborative ventures.
- Negotiate partnership terms, including commission structures, content guidelines, and performance expectations to create mutually beneficial agreements.
- Maintain and expand a network of partners by consistently nurturing and managing relationships with both existing and potential partners.
Affiliate Marketing Program Management:
- Develop, launch, and manage affiliate marketing campaigns that align with business goals and brand values.
- Monitor, evaluate, and optimize affiliate campaigns to ensure maximum reach and conversion rates.
- Track key performance metrics (KPIs) such as click-through rates (CTR), cost per acquisition (CPA), and return on investment (ROI), and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure that affiliates have access to the necessary marketing materials, promotions, and product information to effectively promote our offerings.
E-Commerce Growth Strategy:
- Develop and implement e-commerce strategies to increase online visibility, improve customer engagement, and drive sales.
- Optimize product listings and content on e-commerce platforms, ensuring they align with current trends, consumer preferences, and best practices.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for cross-selling and upselling through digital channels.
- Work with the marketing team to implement digital advertising strategies, including search engine marketing (SEM), pay-per-click (PPC), and social media campaigns to promote affiliate links.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct regular market research to identify emerging trends in affiliate marketing and e-commerce, and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Analyze competitors’ affiliate marketing programs and e-commerce activities to understand market positioning and find opportunities for differentiation.
- Leverage data analytics tools to provide actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with the internal marketing, product, and sales teams to ensure that affiliate programs are integrated into broader marketing strategies.
- Provide regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting affiliate marketing growth, new partnerships, and the effectiveness of business development strategies.
- Identify key opportunities for improvement and propose actionable recommendations for increasing affiliate-driven revenue and customer acquisition.
Brand and Product Advocacy:
- Act as a brand ambassador to ensure that all affiliate partners and collaborators represent the company’s values, voice, and product benefits in a consistent and engaging manner.
- Ensure that product positioning, promotional materials, and campaigns remain in line with the company’s objectives and maintain a high standard of quality.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, E-Commerce, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, affiliate marketing, and e-commerce.
- Proven track record of developing, managing, and growing affiliate partnerships.
- Solid understanding of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify etc.) and affiliate marketing tools.
- Experience in negotiating contracts and managing partner relationships across various digital marketing channels.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in digital marketing strategies (SEO, SEM, social media marketing, etc.) and affiliate marketing platforms.
- Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, affiliate network dashboards, etc.) to analyze data and track performance.
- Strong understanding of affiliate tracking software, ad serving, and conversion tracking.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM software.
Soft Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain lasting business relationships.
- Highly analytical with an ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
