Job Summary
- The Sales Engineer – Industrial Air Compressors is responsible for driving sales, business development, and customer acquisition for industrial air compressors and accessories.
- The role is sales-focused, requiring a proven track record in air compressor sales or a related industry, with strong technical expertise to support product knowledge and customer engagement.
- The ideal candidate will have the ability to generate leads, close sales, expand market share, and provide technical guidance on compressor systems, applications, and after-sales solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
- Promote and sell compressors, accessories, modifications, and after-sales solutions to meet business objectives
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual targets for industrial air compressors and accessories.
- Identify and acquire new customers while maintaining relationships with existing clients.
- Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and sales agreements to prospective clients.
- Conduct market research to track competitor activities, pricing trends, and customer needs.
- Ensure prompt payment collection and credit control from customers.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of sales budgets for the air compressor product line.
Technical & Customer Support:
- Provide technical consultation to customers on selecting the right compressor systems for their operations.
- Ensure proper pre-delivery inspection (PDI) and oversee equipment delivery to customers.
- Educate customers on product features, maintenance best practices, and efficiency optimization.
- Collaborate with the service team to support aftersales operations, troubleshooting, and customer inquiries.
Key Performance Indicators
- Achievement of annual sales targets and revenue goals.
- Expansion of customer base and retention of existing accounts.
- Timely payment collection and credit management.
- Effective market penetration and brand positioning.
- Customer satisfaction and repeat business growth.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma (Electrical or Mechanical)
- Minimum of 2 years experience on Compressor maintenance and repairs.
Personal Skills:
- Hands on experience in maintenance & trouble shooting in all ranges of Air Compressors (Portable, Industrial & Oil free) and Air Dryers.
- Strong negotiation and business development skills to drive sales growth.
- In-depth knowledge of air compressor selection, installation, and applications.
- Ability to interpret technical requirements and provide product recommendations to customers.
- Excellent presentation, proposal writing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and sales reporting software.
