Job Overview
- The Service Engineer air Compressors handles installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial air compressors while supervising service technicians.
- The role combines strong technical competence and sales/customer support optimization, ensuring high service standards and driving aftermarket sales.
Duties & Responsibilities
Technical Service & Maintenance:
- Commission, troubleshoot, inspect, maintain, and repair air compressors and air dryers.
- Conduct periodic inspections, preventive maintenance, and health checkups to ensure maximum up time of customer equipment.
- Lead and supervise service technicians, providing both technical guidance and operational support.
- Ensure proper utilization and allocation of service personnel and resources for optimal efficiency.
- Monitor and maintain service quality standards, ensuring conformity with agreed service levels and customer expectations.
- Forecast and manage spare parts inventory, ensuring routine consumables and fast-moving parts are adequately stocked.
- Prepare and maintain accurate service documentation, reports, and Work in Progress (WIP) records.
- Implement continuous improvements in service operations to enhance quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Sales & Customer Support:
- Support efforts towards revenue generation by promoting after-sales service solutions, including spare parts sales, maintenance contracts, and equipment upgrades.
- Educate customers on best maintenance practices, operational efficiency, and proper equipment handling.
- Build and strengthen customer relationships, deepening engagement to expand the customer service base.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities to improve market share in spare parts and service sales.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop tailored service solutions that meet customer needs
Key Perforance Indicators
- Achievement of agreed revenue and profitability targets.
- Expansion of customer base and aftermarket service sales.
- Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) improvement through timely service and issue resolution.
- Reduction in return repairs and equipment downtime.

Competency Requirements
Academic Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years’ hands-on experience in air compressor maintenance and repair.
- Proven expertise in servicing Oil-Free, Piston, Electric Lubricated, and Portable Air Compressors.
Technical & Personal Skills:
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in air compressors and air dryers.
- Thorough knowledge in air compressor selection, application, installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Ability to guide customers in equipment operation, efficiency improvement, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in MS Office for report preparation and service documentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver technical presentations and customer reports.
- Excellent customer service skills, ensuring high engagement and satisfaction.
