Job Summary
The Risk Manager is responsible for working closely with risk champions to identify risks and develop strategies to prevent potentially harmful activities across key Business Units in SGCL and related companies. You are responsible for planning and directing business analysis, risk modelling, and loss prevention programs. Regularly evaluates risks faced by the organization and its overall risk profile with a particular focus on process control.
Job Details
- Work closely with Risk Champions to assess risks inherent in their processes and document such in the approved Risk Register periodically
- Carry out Risk Management workshops to promote Risk Awareness across the group
- Monitor Risk activities to ensure close out of identified risks
- Manage continuous reviews of the entity’s risk management policy and framework to ensure it remains fit for purpose.
- Work with Head of Risk to facilitate risk reviews and assessments for key initiatives or projects that cut across multiple functions, or department.
Requirement
- Minimum of Higher National Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or any related course.
- Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Professional certification like ICAN, CISA or by reputable Risk Management Institute is an added advantage
- Proven minimum of 5-8 years in risk management, internal audit, preferably in the Agro trading and Export industry.
