- We are looking for a Sales Associate to play a pivotal role in expanding our reach in Kaduna’s informal markets, driving sales growth, and strengthening business relationships.
About the Role
- As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for customer acquisition, sales pipeline management, and relationship building with key stakeholders such as buyers, suppliers, and aggregators.
- You will also analyze user engagement trends, onboard new clients, and ensure customer retention to achieve revenue targets.
- This role is ideal for a results-driven sales professional with a strong network in agricultural sales and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Acquisition & Sales Growth:
- Develop and implement a customer acquisition strategy to drive business expansion.
- Proactively identify and engage new business opportunities to enhance revenue streams.
- Effectively manage the sales pipeline, from lead generation to closing deals.
Relationship Management & Customer Retention:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, suppliers, and key industry players.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
- Educate buyers on new product features and market trends to drive sales.
Market Intelligence & Data-Driven Sales Strategy:
- Conduct market research to understand buyer needs, supplier trends, and product demand.
- Gather and analyze sales data and user engagement metrics to optimize sales strategies.
- Provide feedback to product development teams to improve offerings.
Financial Management & Operational Excellence:
- Ensure timely payments for services and oversee debt collection processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance operational efficiency and sales processes.
Key Working Relationships
- Vendors/Suppliers/Aggregators – Partner with key suppliers to maintain product availability.
- Buyers/Off-takers – Secure long-term partnerships to drive consistent sales.
- Hotels/Restaurants – Identify business opportunities in the hospitality sector.
- Farmers & Cooperatives – Strengthen relationships to ensure a reliable supply chain.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience:
- Candidates should possess a BA / B.Sc / HND in Business, Sales, or a related field.
- Background in agricultural sales and supply chain management is preferred.
- Existing network of buyers in commodity aggregation, agro-processing, hospitality, and food industries.
Technical & Soft Skills:
- Strong understanding of B2B sales strategies and customer acquisition.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools for tracking leads and sales performance.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
