Description 




  • A Site Engineer is responsible for managing construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.

  • They act as a link between project managers, architects, and workers while overseeing day-to-day operations



Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Supervision:




  • Oversee construction work, ensuring it aligns with approved plans and specifications.

  • Monitor progress and resolve technical issues on-site.

  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.



Quality Control & Safety Compliance:




  • Ensure work adheres to safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.

  • Conduct quality checks and inspections to maintain construction standards.

  • Enforce health and safety guidelines on-site.



Site Coordination & Communication:




  • Liaise with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth workflow.

  • Maintain clear communication between the site team and project management.

  • Handle workforce management, ensuring productivity and efficiency.



Documentation & Reporting:




  • Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, progress reports, and material usage.

  • Prepare site reports and submit updates to project managers.

  • Manage project documentation, including contracts and permits.



Cost & Resource Management:




  • Assist in budgeting, cost estimation, and procurement of materials.

  • Monitor resource utilization to avoid wastage and inefficiencies.

  • Ensure timely delivery and proper storage of construction materials.



Qualifications & Experience




  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

  • 5-10 years of experience in construction site management

  • Certification in safety standards (e.g., OSHA) is an advantage

  • Professional Engineering license or certification e.g. (COREN)



Key Skills & Competencies:




  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations

  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

  • Proficiency in project management software (AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.)

  • Leadership and team management skills

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
