Job Summary
- Our client is in need of a detail-oriented and creative Merchandiser to manage product selection, inventory, and display strategies to maximize sales and enhance customer experience.
- The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for market trends, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Product Planning and Selection: Identify and source products based on market trends, customer preferences, and business objectives.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and ensure optimal inventory turnover.
- Visual Merchandising: Develop and execute in-store and online product displays to drive sales and brand visibility.
- Supplier and Vendor Relations: Negotiate with suppliers for the best pricing, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Sales and Performance Analysis: Track product performance and use data-driven insights to optimize product assortment.
- Promotions and Pricing: Assist in developing promotional campaigns, pricing strategies, and seasonal markdowns.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and store teams to align merchandising strategies with business goals.
Education, Experience and Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Merchandiser, Buyer, or Category Manager in retail, health care, pharmaceutical, or consumer goods.
- Experience in e-commerce merchandising is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a retail, pharmaceutical, health care or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Understanding of market trends, customer behavior, and sales data.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
- Knowledge of visual merchandising principles and retail display techniques.
