We are looking for a qualified and experienced Food and Nutrition Teacher to educate students on the principles of food and nutrition, meal planning, and practical life skills.
Key Responsibilities
Teach students food and nutrition principles, meal planning, and practical life skills
Develop and implement lesson plans and curriculum in Food and Nutrition/Home Economics
Demonstrate and teach practical life skills, including food preparation, budgeting, and home management
Assess student learning and provide feedback
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics, Food and Nutrition, Education, or a related field
Teaching certification/license
3-5 years experience
Advanced degrees or certifications in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or Nutrition (desirable)
Hands-on experience in practical skills related to cooking, meal planning, sewing, or household management
Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietetics, food preparation, and safety protocols
