The Role
As our Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of all aspects of our manufacturing operations in Minna.
This is a critical role that requires a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of production processes, supply chain logistics, and team management.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
Develop and implement efficient warehouse management strategies to optimize inventory control and flow.
Create and manage effective shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing and production coverage.
Identify and implement operational improvements and optimization strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall productivity.
Manage and lead the production team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
Develop and manage operational budgets.
Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (BSc) in a relevant field such as Engineering, Business administration, Operations Management or related field.
Proven experience (minimum of 4 years) working in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrable experience in warehouse management, including inventory control, storage optimization, and logistics.
Proven ability to develop and manage shift planning to maximize efficiency and meet production demands.
Strong understanding of operations optimization principles and methodologies with a track record of implementing successful improvements.
Significant experience in managing and leading teams, including performance management, motivation, and development.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., inventory management systems, production planning software).
Must be willing to relocate to Minna, Niger State.
