Job Summary
- The Maintainance officer isresponsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.
- We are looking for someone with both mechanical and electrical expertise . you are required to have a minimum of 2 years working in the industry,preferably a snacks or FMCG company.
Duties and responsibilities
Maintenance Operations:
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all machinery and equipment.
- Oversee daily maintenance activities, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Monitor equipment performance and promptly address any malfunctions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with other departments to plan maintenance activities that do not disrupt production schedules.
Resource and Asset Management:
- Ensure the availability of necessary tools, spare parts, and materials for maintenance tasks.
- Maintain an inventory of critical spare parts and coordinate with procurement to avoid shortages.
- Monitor the condition of company facilities and coordinate repairs or upgrades as needed.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and train the maintenance team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, providing clear instructions and support.
- Promote a safe and collaborative work environment, resolving conflicts or issues that arise within the team.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address potential hazards immediately.
- Provide safety training to maintenance staff, ensuring they follow proper procedures when operating equipment or handling tools.
Process Optimization:
- Analyze maintenance data to identify recurring issues and develop solutions to prevent them.
- Implement best practices and new technologies to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop strategies to extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment servicing.
- Generate reports on maintenance performance, downtime, and costs, and present these to senior management.
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess industry standard knowledge in mechanical repair, electrical repair and maintenance of factory Equipments and machines used in an FMCG industry
- Minimum of 2 Years experience is required.
