Job Summary
The Internal Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and strengthening the internal control environment within Sunbeth, Akure. The role involves evaluating operational risks, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards, and implementing effective control mechanisms to mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks. The Internal Control Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and reliability of financial and operational reporting.
Job Details
- Perform regular reviews and assessments of the SGCL internal controls, policies, and procedures related to cocoa beans, cashew Sesame and Oilseeds export and warehousing operations.
- Identify and evaluate risks, and develop risk mitigation plans in the areas of procurement, inventory management, logistics, and financial reporting.
- Analyze data and report on findings to line manager in related to Sunbeth Global Concepts Limited operations.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls related to SGCL, identify weaknesses, and recommend improvements.
- Assist in developing and implementing internal control policies and procedures related SGCL
- Work with line manager and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support for audits related SGCL Operation.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on internal control procedures and policies related SGCL Operation.
- Conduct investigations of suspected fraud or other irregularities related to all activities in SGCL.
- To carry out other job responsibilities that may be assigned by the TL/Head Internal Control.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or similar qualification is a significant advantage.
- Minimum of 9 years of experience in internal control, auditing, or risk management.
