Department/Division/Unit: Surgery

Job Objective/Purpose:

The Consultant Urologist will provide specialized care for urological cases, manage urology patients, and ensure the adherence to clinical practice guidelines.

Reporting Relationships:

• Functionally Reports To: Chief of Surgery


• Administratively Reports To: Chief of Surgery


• Supervises: Medical officers and nurses

Working Relationships:

• Internal: Other consultants, medical officers, directors, and nursing staff


• External: Clients, patients, and their relatives

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care and management for urological cases, both in outpatient and inpatient settings.


• Develop and adhere to clinical practice guidelines.


• Conduct ward rounds and specialist outpatient clinics.


• Case reporting and documentation.


• Perform other duties as required by the department.

Education and Qualifications:

• Education: MBBS or its equivalent


• Professional Training: Residency in Urology from a recognized institution


• Licensing: Valid medical practice license


• Professional Qualification: Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College in Urology or its equivalent

Experience:

• 2 years post-residency experience is desirable.

Work Cycle (Hours/Days):

• Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM


• Saturdays: As per department’s duty schedule


• Call duty and weekend coverage as per the department’s rotation.
