Job Description
The ideal candidate will oversee and optimize logistics and transportation activities. Responsibilities include: Designing and executing effective logistics strategies, Managing transportation networks for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, Ensuring prompt and reliable delivery of goods.
The role holder will report to the Operations Director, based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and execute logistics plans to enhance efficiency and cut costs.
- Oversee transportation networks, including choosing carriers, planning routes, and scheduling.
- Ensure prompt delivery of goods while meeting customer expectations.
- Supervise and guide a team of logistics professionals.
- Work closely with sales, operations, and customer service teams for seamless coordination.
- Evaluate data and performance metrics to improve logistics processes.
- Ensure adherence to regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
- 5-7 years' experience in logistics and transportation management roles.
- Proven knowledge of logistics operations, transportation systems, and supply chain processes.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Capacity to thrive in dynamic environments and exercise sound judgment.
