MAIN FUNCTIONS

Responsible for calculating, preparing and submitting tax returns. Advises about business plans and investment opportunities. Provides guidance about taxation legislation. Streamlines and minimizes tax liabilities and liaises with the revenue, customs and excise departments, where applicable. Moderate to minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable on commercial or business subject matter expertise.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Regional tax expertise.


• Financial experience.


• Analytical skills.


• Ability to translate complex tax issues into general terms.

Specific Requirements:

• Hold a background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Law


• Possess ICAN certification or a comparable credential, or have hands-on experience in Nigeria Tax compliance and administration


• Have a minimum of three years of relevant, cognate experience


• Be proficient in MS Office tools, especially Excel (should be able to create, use, and manipulate Pivot tables) and PowerPoint


• Have experience using SAP enterprise software


• Exhibit strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and be a self-starter with a willingness to learn.
