Job Summary
- The Junior Facility Officer assists in the daily operations and maintenance of buildings, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment.
- This role involves supporting facility management tasks, coordinating minor repairs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- The officer works closely with vendors, maintenance teams, and management to maintain the property efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance & Operations:
- Assist in overseeing the maintenance of buildings, utilities, and equipment.
- Report and track repairs, ensuring timely resolution of facility issues.
- Coordinate with service providers for cleaning, security, and waste management.
- Monitor the condition of common areas and office spaces, ensuring tidiness and functionality.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination:
- Liaise with maintenance personnel, technicians, and third-party contractors.
- Assist in verifying service quality and ensuring work is completed as agreed.
- Support procurement of facility-related supplies and services.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Report any health and safety hazards to the facility manager.
- Assist in maintaining records for fire safety, security, and emergency response procedures.
Administrative Support:
- Keep records of facility inspections, maintenance schedules, and vendor contracts.
- Assist in preparing reports on facility conditions and operational needs.
- Respond to staff or tenant requests related to facility issues.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in facility management or property operations.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software is a plus.
