Job Summary

• The Research & Development (R&D) Officer is responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, and developing innovative programs that align with AYGF’s mission. 


• The role involves gathering insights, drafting proposals, and implementing strategic initiatives to drive growth and impact.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on social, economic, and development issues related to AYGF’s focus areas.


• Collect and analyze data to support program development and advocacy efforts.


• Prepare research reports, policy briefs, and recommendations.


• Identify opportunities for new programs and initiatives.


• Develop innovative solutions to enhance AYGF’s impact in youth empowerment, education, health, and other development sectors.


• Support the design and implementation of projects based on research findings.


• Identify potential funding opportunities for AYGF’s programs.


• Work with the fundraising team to develop research-driven funding strategies.


• Collaborate with internal teams, government agencies, NGOs, and donors.


• Present research findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.


• Participate in policy dialogues and advocacy initiatives.


• Support the development of M&E frameworks to assess program effectiveness.

Qualifications & Requirements

• B.Sc. or Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Public Policy, Economics, or a related field.


• Experience in research, data analysis, and policy development. 


• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
