About the Job



  • AWS is in need of a Business Development Manager who will identify and develop strategic business relationships with existing and other potential customers, lead in the development of new business opportunities that supports AWS’s overall growth strategy, achieve established sales goals and implement business development initiatives that maximize and grow AWS’s footprint and generate bottom line revenue for the company.


Roles and Responsibilities



  • Develop new business opportunities with existing and other potential customers at all stages of the sales cycle to include targeting, prospecting and presenting compelling business propositions.

  • Work effectively with C-Level decision makers, i.e., CFO and Directors, to develop long term strategic relationships.

  • Prepare and present powerful, persuasive sales presentations that effectively demonstrate the value proposition of AWS’s products solutions.

  • Develop and maintain a robust deal pipeline toward targeted entities to continuously grow the business and generate sales.

  • Effectively manage large scale, complex contracts negotiations and close new business deals with existing and other potential customers, working closely with the Managing Director.

  • Maintain consistent sales growth by continuously establishing new accounts and maintaining existing accounts.

  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan that meets or exceeds established sales goals and supports Company revenue and profitability targets.

  • Attend conferences and professional association meetings and promote AWS’s product solutions and brand.

  • Quoting and negotiating prices and credit terms, and completing contracts and recording orders.

  • Following up with clients to ensure satisfaction with project goods and services purchased, arranging modifications and resolving any problems arising. Prepare and give business reviews and presentations to the management team on a monthly basis

  • Develop business prospects, secure partnership interests and build sustainable business relationships with sought-after clients and partners

  • Network with clients at various levels in the marketplace to develop a sustainable long-term business relationship

  • Ensure deep understanding of customers’ needs, their effective communication with relevant internal stakeholders and the development of solutions that satisfy those requirements to minimize potential gaps between expectations and delivery

  • Provide timely and regular reports on activities to the Managing Director

  • Ensure the capacity development of direct reports, through coaching and other learning methods, for career growth, optimal productivity and performance

  • Provide regular, formal and informal, feedback on identified gaps of direct reports’ performance and recommend appropriate solutions

  • Respond to Expression of Interest (EOI), Request for Quote (RFQ), Request for proposal (RFP) as well as prepare Commercial and Technical Bid.

  • Other duties as may be assigned


Education & Experience



  • Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or other related field.

  • M.Sc. / MBA Degree is an added advantage

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role with at least 4 years in a senior management role

  • Experience in any related field preferably, Business Development/Marketing.

  • Experience in a credible organization preferably in Oil and Gas industry.

  • Experience in managing the strategic planning cycle for a large organization with strong cross- functional engagement and prioritization
