Job Summary

• As a Beader, your role is responsible for applying beads, sequins, rhinestones, and other embellishments to garments, accessories, or textiles. 


• This role requires high attention to detail, manual dexterity, and creativity to enhance the aesthetic value of products.

Responsibilities

• Applybeads, sequins, rhinestones, and other decorative elements to garments or accessories by hand or using specialised equipment.


• Follow specific design patterns, layouts, and instructions from the design team.


• Ensure uniformity, precision, and quality in the application of embellishments.


• Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely completion of embellished garments.


• Inspect work regularly to maintain high-quality standards and correct any inconsistencies or mistakes.


• Ensure that beadwork is securely fastened and durable enough for wear.


• Maintain beading tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.


• Keep track of beading materials inventory and report when supplies need to be replenished.


• Meet tight production deadlines while ensuring attention to detail and maintaining the integrity of the design.

Person Specification

• Previous experience in hand-beading, embroidery, or similar craftwork in the fashion industry.


• Proficiency in different types of beading and embroidery techniques.


• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and patterns.


• Familiarity with fashion production processes and garment construction.


• Exceptional precision and accuracy when applying intricate embellishments.


• Ability to think creatively and contribute to unique, high-fashion designs.


• Ability to work efficiently under deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.


• Steady hand and manual dexterity for handling small beads and delicate materials.


• May require long periods of standing or sitting, depending on the project.


• Occasional overtime may be necessary during busy production periods.
