The successful candidate will assist in developing exploration programs and optimizing exploration processes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct desk-top and due-diligence studies.
Undertake regional and deposit-scale geological mapping to assess mineral potential.
Plan and implement resource definition activities, including RC & Diamond drilling, and feasibility studies.
Provide guidance and input in resource and reserve development drilling programs, including contractor management, rig security, rig performance, target attainment, safe work practices, and environmental impact.
Develop and implement exploration protocols consistent with industry norms.
Undertake structural, lithological, geotechnical, and assay correlations to enhance understanding of mineralization.
Ensure appropriate sampling and assay quality control and assurance protocols are in place, adhered to, and monitored.
Manage and collate geological data.
Provide geological interpretations and 3D models for resource modeling.
Prepare exploration budgets.
Qualifications
Degree in Geology (MSc preferred).
Minimum of 10 years ofexperience in base metals exploration (lead, zinc, tin, gold, lithium, REE, etc.) in complex structural settings
Proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS/MapInfo) and 3D Mining Software Packages (Surpac/DataMine).
In-depth knowledge of ore deposit models and appropriate exploration techniques.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, assertiveness, and empathy.
