We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrical Engineer with over 5 years of hands-on expertise in the operation and maintenance of Jenbacher gas engines.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal electrical performance of the engines, supporting day-to-day operations, routine maintenance activities, and troubleshooting electrical systems to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and manage the electrical operations of Jenbacher gas engines to ensure maximum efficiency and uptime.
Carry out scheduled electrical maintenance, inspections, and testing of generator control panels, PLCs, alternators, and associated systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve faults in engine control systems, synchronization panels, and protection relays.
Perform diagnostics using OEM tools and software (e.g., DIA.NE).
Interpret and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Support the commissioning and integration of engine units with auxiliary systems and switchgear.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and component replacements.
Work closely with mechanical and operations teams for coordinated engine management.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety codes, manufacturer recommendations, and company standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Jenbacher gas engine operations and electrical maintenance.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems in power generation, including generators, synchronization, protection systems, and automation.
