Responsibilities
- Develop creative marketing communication strategies, plans and approaches to market products, services, and initiatives
- Position corporate and product brands for leadership, reach in the marketplace; and to generate high probability sales leads.
- Champion the articulation of the brand strategy in line with overall organizational objective.
- Continuously plan and execute brand engagement activities across digital and physical media.
- Manage and ensure top-notch content development for both online and offline channels.
- Serve as the custodian of the corporate brand image ensuring consistent projection of the company across all spheres of the business.
- Ensure all internal and external communications are consistent with the company’s brand positioning
- Oversight for all technical, creative and content production
- Keep abreast of local and global best practices and make recommendations on how they impact the brand
- Ensure that individual/teamwork and attitude reflect the tenets of the organization’s culture and values.
- Provide input to the budgeting process for strategic/tactical marketing planning.
- Support the implementation of strategic through the line marketing activities including all internal communications, media and agency relations, branding, events and sponsorships, merchandise management, corporate and industry/policy initiatives
- Support the development of brand strategies and marketing plans across designated SBUs and subsidiaries.
- Enforce brand consistency and drive brand quality across all platforms
- Execute assigned businesses’ marketing plans/activities in addition to budget scheduling efficiencies
- Liaise with Market Operations to ensure stakeholders requirements are clearly understood and delivered within stipulated SLAs
- Undertake, on a periodic basis, competitive activity tracking a well as actionable intelligence reports and developing appropriate the response
- Maintain the security of all information entrusted with, and ensure full compliance with all principles and policies in IS Handbook
- Supervise assigned marketing services executives to ensure that objectives are met.
- Contribute to the overall achievement of the organization’s mission & vision.
- Any other related responsibilities are required as assigned
Required Competencies:
- Excellent understanding of marketing tools & techniques across the different communication channels
- Proven and vibrant network of media and PR contacts
- Good knowledge and understanding of strategic branding and marketing concepts, principles, and practices.
- Hands-on experience in leading a team
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good report writing and presentation skills
- Judgment and decision-making ability
Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Marketing, Communication, Media, or related discipline
- Minimum of Seven (7) years’ post-qualification experience in a similar role
- Good understanding of different channels of communication
- Hands-on experience in leading a team
