We are seeking to hire a Tender Specialist who will perform a range of Business Development support activities and aide the Business Development Manager in facilitating the bidding process of the organization.
He/She must have knowledge of the public procurement act, World Bank procurement processes, exhibit skills in proposals/bids preparation and responding to Expression of Interest (EOI), Invitation to Tender (ITT), Invitation to Bid (ITB), Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), etc, as well as building & maintaining strong relationships both internally & externally, amongst other responsibilities.
The ideal candidate must be both approachable & respectful, comfortable with new technology, virtual meeting platforms, etc.
Responsibilities
Provide business development support.
Respond to enquiries (EOI, ITT, ITB, RFP, RFQ, etc), review client’s requirements to confirm all components of the proposal are finalized to meet the submission requirements, and coordinate to ensure deadlines are met.
Prepare proposals/bids (Technical and Commercial) for Environmental, Management and Engineering projects.
Submit the completed proposal within the stipulated deadline through the designated channels.
Engaging in any required follow-up activities, such as responding to client inquiries, providing additional information, or participating in presentations.
Managing resources and communicating effectively with stakeholders (Internal & External) to ensure clear understanding of expectations and requirements.
Implement marketing activities including researching organizations and individuals to Identify new opportunities.
Keeping abreast of regulations, market/industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to adequately adjust strategies.
Maintaining comprehensive and accurate Business Development records.
Manage sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
Any other duty that may be assigned by the Business Development Manager.
