Key Responsibilities




  • Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications.

  • Provide counseling to patients on drug usage, side effects, interactions, and storage.

  • Work with the superintendent pharmacist to ensure smooth operations and compliance with PCN guidelines.

  • Maintain accurate records, including prescription logs and drug registers.

  • Assist with inventory management—stocking, reordering, and checking for expired medications.

  • Ensure all pharmacy practices are in line with current pharmaceutical laws and standards.

  • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other staff to deliver high-quality service.

  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide relevant health information.

  • Participate in health awareness initiatives or pharmacy promotional activities as needed.

  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dispensary area.



Requirements




  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree from a recognized institution with 3 years work experience.

  • Must be a registered and licensed Pharmacist with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).

  • Completed NYSC program.

  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Attention to detail and good organizational abilities.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a team and under minimal supervision.

  • Willingness to work weekends or in shifts, as required.
