Job Summary:



We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced fleet officer to manage and oversee our fleet  operations across Nigeria. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 6 years of solid experience in fleet  management within the FMCG or e-commerce sector and will be responsible for ensuring  optimal performance, compliance, and cost-efficiency of all fleet activities. The role is based in  Ikeja, Lagos, and involves nationwide coordination.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Manage daily operations of the company’s fleet across various locations in Nigeria.

  • Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure vehicles are in optimal working  condition.

  • Monitor and control fleet operating costs, including fuel usage, repairs, and maintenance.

  • Implement fleet policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Ensure all vehicles comply with federal and state regulations and licensing requirements.

  • Coordinate driver recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.

  • Track and analyze fleet data using GPS and fleet management systems to improve routing  and efficiency.

  • Prepare regular reports on fleet utilization, incidents, and cost management for senior management.

  • Collaborate with logistics, supply chain, and operations teams to align fleet operations with  business objectives.

  • Ensure prompt resolution of fleet-related issues and breakdowns



Requirements:




  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, transport management, business administration, or a related  field.

  • Minimum of 3 years and maximum of 6 years of hands-on experience in fleet management,  preferably in the FMCG or e-commerce industry.

  • Proven experience managing fleets across multiple states or regions in Nigeria.

  • Strong knowledge of fleet management software and GPS tracking tools.

  • Excellent understanding of transport regulations, compliance, and safety standards in  Nigeria.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.



Preferred Skills:




  • Certification in Transport Management or Logistics (an added advantage).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

  • Experience in cost-reduction strategies and fleet optimization
