Job Summary
- A Field Operator carries out daily and routine prestart-up inspections and operations of plant equipment.
- He has the trained skill and competency to ensure that all the plant CNG equipment and mechanical systems are operated in safe and efficient process.
- He plays a key role in ensuring safety and SOP compliance around the plant areas.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities, including test results, instrument readings, and details of equipment malfunctions and maintenance work.
- Operate NG compressors, dispensers, NGL dryers, and other equipment.
- Starting and stopping of all compressors and auxiliary equipment, such as gas compressors, air compressors, etc. as dictated by the raising and failing of the line pressure as per instructions.
- Maintain proper communication of Start-up, stoppage trip-outs, or deviations to the Shift-In Charge/operations supervisor/manager immediately.
- Switch from automatic to manual controls and isolate equipment mechanically and electrically to allow for safe inspection and repair work.
- Drainage of condensate from equipment on an hourly basis.
- Provide reports to the supervisor daily.
- Interpreted readings and acted on reading abnormalities.
- Performs minor repairs on equipment, using hand tools.
- Operates equipment to purify gases.
- Perform other duties or tasks as assigned or required.
- Operate and maintain equipment used in the production or processing of gas.
- Monitor and control production processes and equipment to ensure they are operating properly.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding equipment performance, production progress, and safety concerns.
- Connect and disconnect skids.
- Ensure that skids check if they are in good condition for loading, and fit for roadworthy before loading
- Always follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Complete required documentation, such as production reports and maintenance logs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Candidates should have an HND/B.ENG/B.Sc Degree and its equivalents.
- 1 year and above Industry Experience in CNG operations / 2 - 4 years similar role Field Operator) in other Oil and Gas fields.
- 0-1 year experience for Field operator (FO) trainee intake program.
