Job Description







  • Process film rolls and digital images using photo lab equipment, ensuring sharpness, color accuracy, and proper exposure.

  • Operate printers and imaging machines to produce high-quality photo prints, enlargements, and specialty products like photo books or canvases.

  • Use photo editing software (e.g., Photoshop, Lightroom) to adjust colours, remove blemishes, and enhance images before printing.

  • Assist customers in placing orders, selecting products, understanding image formats, and resolving complaints professionally.

  • Digitize photos, slides, and negatives for digital storage or reproduction, ensuring resolution and clarity are preserved.

  • Restore old or damaged photographs by retouching and correcting imperfections digitally.

  • Regularly calibrate printers and monitors to maintain accurate and consistent color output.

  • Inspect prints and other products for defects, cropping errors, or color inconsistencies before final delivery.

  • Track incoming photo orders, organize workflow, and ensure timely fulfillment and packaging of completed jobs.

  • Perform regular cleaning, servicing, and minor troubleshooting on photo lab machines and printers to prevent breakdowns.

  • Safely handle and dispose of photographic chemicals used in traditional film development (if applicable).

  • Keep inventory of photo paper, ink, chemicals, and packaging materials, and notify management when supplies run low.

  • Package prints and photo products neatly and securely for customer pickup or delivery.

  • Create and print custom photo merchandise such as mugs, calendars, greeting cards, and collages based on customer preferences.



Organize and archive digital files for easy retrieval, ensuring proper labeling and backup procedures.




  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Imaging Technology, Graphic Arts, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in photo processing, printing, or lab management.

  • Experience working in photo labs, printing companies, or digital imaging studios is a plus.



Requirements:




  • Proven experience as a Photo Lab Technician, Digital Imaging Specialist, or Print Production Technician.

  • Strong knowledge of photo printing, color correction, and digital image processing.

  • Proficiency in using photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom) and printing equipment.

  • Experience with film development (if applicable) and digital imaging workflows.

  • Strong understanding of color management and print calibration.



Ability to troubleshoot and repair lab equipment issues.
