Overview




  • The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will be responsible for overseeing the strategic, financial, and operational activities of the company. The CMO will ensure the successful establishment and expansion of the company’s subsidiaries while forging key local and international partnerships. The role requires a dynamic leader with experience in energy sector management, investment mobilization, and sustainable business practices.



Responsibilities




  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for the company, aligning with its vision for sustainable energy solutions in Africa.

  • Oversee the establishment, operationalization, and growth of the company’s subsidiaries.

  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the energy sector.

  • Drive operational efficiency by implementing strong project management frameworks to meet business objectives.

  • Establish strong governance structures and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate best practices.

  • Raise capital through a mix of equity, debt, and grants to fund the company’s ventures.

  • Lead negotiations and secure partnerships that drive business expansion and technological advancement.

  • Launch innovative energy solutions that address Africa’s unique energy challenges.

  • Present periodic reports to the Board of Directors on company performance, challenges, and strategic recommendations.

  • Secure initial government and corporate contracts for each subsidiary.



Requirements




  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in the energy sector, preferably in renewable energy, oil & gas, or power infrastructure.

  • Proven track record in business development, strategic planning, and financial management.

  • Experience in capital mobilization, including raising funds through equity, debt financing, and grants.

  • Strong background in stakeholder engagement, government relations, and corporate negotiations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Marketing or a related field. 

  • Familiarity with African energy markets and regulatory environments is highly desirable.
