About the job

• Carry out all aspects of reservoir engineering activities including field development, performance evaluation of wells and reservoirs.


• Identify, justify, develop the implementation of workflow to evaluate and manage the field in line with industry best practices. Uses advanced reservoir-engineering techniques and integrate dynamic & static data to identify field movement and implement optimization plans to maximize profitable recovery.


• Monitor field’s production capacities and identify mitigation actions in case of shortfalls.


• Data integration and analysis, collaborate with geophysicists, petrophysics to integrate geological data with other subsurface data. Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of geological data to support decision-making.


• Responsible for selection of the optimum completion profile to achieve the best well’s performance for recovery and productivity.


• Experience in review the drilling plans of wells according to the surface and the subsurface locations.


• Provide expertise to identify and support reservoir-engineering studies using fit-for-purpose techniques, which may include reservoir simulation, material balance, decline curve analysis.


• Undertake the most appropriate studies to define the optimum development schemes with associated reserves and production profiles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree from a recognized university in petroleum engineering.


• Minimum 12 years of experience in reservoir engineering, especially different types of gas/condensate reservoirs.


• Experience with reservoir engineering software’s such as ECLIPSE, PETREL RE, and PROSPER.


• Experience in leading teams and integrated reservoir projects.


• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.


• Experience in performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of reservoir development.


• Strong knowledge of reservoir engineering concepts including:


• Depletion planning and different types of reserves.


• Reservoir simulation and history matching.


• Analytical performance prediction.


• Strong fundamental understanding/experiences in fluid mechanics, porous media flow, and computational fluid dynamics.
