We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Engines' Electrical Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems on heavy-duty engines used in various applications, including but not limited to:
Trucks and trailers
Tractors
Cranes and hoisting equipment
Excavators, loaders, and other construction equipment
Generators and industrial power equipment
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair electrical faults on heavy-duty engines, including troubleshooting issues with starters, alternators, batteries, and wiring systems
Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical issues using technical manuals and diagnostic equipment
Install new electrical systems and components, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications
Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify and resolve electrical issues
Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime
Read and interpret technical documents, such as wiring diagrams and circuit diagrams
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience working on heavy-duty engines electrical systems
Proven track record of diagnosing and repairing complex electrical issues
Strong knowledge of electrical theory and circuit analysis
Experience with diagnostic equipment, such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as wiring diagrams and circuit diagrams
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical ability to work in a workshop environment.
