Job Summary




  • We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Engines' Electrical Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems on heavy-duty engines used in various applications, including but not limited to:

    • Trucks and trailers

    • Tractors

    • Cranes and hoisting equipment

    • Excavators, loaders, and other construction equipment

    • Generators and industrial power equipment





Responsibilities




  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on heavy-duty engines, including troubleshooting issues with starters, alternators, batteries, and wiring systems

  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical issues using technical manuals and diagnostic equipment

  • Install new electrical systems and components, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications

  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify and resolve electrical issues

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime

  • Read and interpret technical documents, such as wiring diagrams and circuit diagrams

  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety protocols and regulations.



Requirements




  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working on heavy-duty engines electrical systems

  • Proven track record of diagnosing and repairing complex electrical issues

  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory and circuit analysis

  • Experience with diagnostic equipment, such as multimeters and oscilloscopes

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as wiring diagrams and circuit diagrams

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Physical ability to work in a workshop environment.
