About the Role




  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Bid and Estimating Quantity Surveyor to join our Estimating and Bids Management Department. 

  • This role is crucial to the successful pricing and preparation of tender submissions that support our project acquisition strategy.

  • If you have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a solid background in quantity surveying within the construction industry, we want to hear from you!



Key Responsibilities




  • Extract and measure quantities from architectural and engineering drawings for accurate cost estimates

  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and detailed rate build-ups for labor and materials

  • Create and manage TRM (Timeline Request Management) templates for tenders

  • Develop and dispatch RFQs (Request for Quotations) to third-party vendors and follow up on submissions

  • Analyze vendor quotations and third-party inputs for competitive pricing

  • Identify and cost project preliminaries to be included in tender submissions

  • Conduct site visits for better pricing insights and tender accuracy

  • Compile complete and professional tender submission packages

  • Support bid/no-bid decisions with relevant data and documentation



Requirements




  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc./HND in Quantity Surveying

  • 2–3 years of proven experience in bid estimation or a similar QS role

  • Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings and documents

  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and team collaboration skills

  • Professional membership or certification is an added advantage
