Job Summary
- As the Managing Director, you are responsible for upholding successful company operations by implementing business strategies and fostering business relationships.

- You are expected to define long-term organizational strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement comprehensive long-term strategic plans that align with the organization's mission and market opportunities
- Define and communicate the organization's strategic vision to the executive team, board of directors, and key stakeholders
- Lead the development of annual business plans, financial targets, and performance metrics
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities and strategic partnerships
- Determine strategy to minimize risks or maximize returns on assets under management.
- Drive the optimization of shareholder value whilst balancing all other competitive stakeholder needs.
- Liaise and maintain relationship with CBN and other regulatory authorities on behalf of the organization.
Financial Performance and Growth:
- Oversee the financial performance of the entire organization, including revenue generation, profitability, and capital allocation
- Set and manage ambitious financial targets across all business units
- Develop and maintain robust financial strategies to optimize revenue streams and manage risk
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, reporting standards, and corporate governance requirements
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, operational efficiency, and cost management
Client and Stakeholder Relations:
- Build and maintain high-level relationships with key clients, investors, regulators, and strategic partners
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, events, and networking platforms
- Cultivate a client-centric approach that emphasizes exceptional service and long-term value creation
- Act as the primary external spokesperson for the organization
Team Leadership and Organizational Development:
- Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier talent across all levels of the organization
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for staff
- Implement effective performance management and succession planning strategie
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Establish and maintain robust risk management frameworks
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices

Technology and Innovation:
- Champion digital transformation initiatives within the organization

Requirements and skills
- Candidates should possess relevant qualifications in a related field with years of proven experience.
- Experience with analytics, data, databases, predictive modelling, or business intelligence preferred.
- A proven track record of working in Fintech business (Payment processing, Money Movement, online banking, etc.) in a leadership role.
- Lead and execute on business objectives, rather than follow the competition.
- Subject matter expert with a strong background in market definition with deep expertise across strategy, product, pricing, marketing and technology.
- Strong commercial acumen maintaining a keen focus on revenues, growth and profitability, combining strategic and analytical capabilities with a results-focused approach.
- Demonstrated success building a risk-based business (both strategy and execution).
