Key Responsibilities:



Turnaround Rigging and Lifting Planning:




  • Develop and prepare detailed lifting and rigging plans for all turnaround (TAR) maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with Company standards, operational requirements, and safety regulations.

  • Plan lifting operations for maintenance activities such as equipment installation, component replacements, and removal of large machinery or structural parts.

  • Develop lifting plans that consider site-specific challenges, including load weight, rigging methods, crane capacity, and weather conditions, ensuring safe and efficient execution.

  • Create detailed schedules for rigging and lifting activities, coordinating with turnaround planners, engineers, and project teams to align with the overall TAR timeline.



Risk Assessment and Safety Management:




  • Conduct thorough risk assessments for all rigging and lifting operations involved in the turnaround maintenance activities, identifying potential hazards and implementing effective mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure that all planned lifting operations comply with safety protocols, including load stability, fall protection, and environmental factors.

  • Develop and implement safe work procedures for lifting and rigging operations, including emergency response plans and incident reporting processes.

  • Ensure that all lifting equipment and rigging gear are certified, inspected, and meet safety standards.



Verification of Lifting Operations:




  • Verify and inspect all lifting and rigging setups during turnaround maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with approved lifting plans and safety guidelines.

  • Oversee the execution of lifting operations, ensuring that rigging teams follow the established procedures and that equipment is safely and correctly used.

  • Perform final checks on lifting operations after completion to confirm that no damage occurred to the equipment, structures, or surrounding areas and that the lifting was executed correctly.



Coordination with Other Teams:




  • Work closely with the Turnaround Event Manager, engineering teams, maintenance planners, and other departments to ensure that rigging and lifting activities are properly coordinated with the overall turnaround plan.

  • Coordinate with the maintenance, operations, and HSE teams to optimize the use of lifting equipment and resources during the TAR.



Educational Qualifications:




  • HND/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Certification in lifting and rigging (e.g., Lifting and Rigging Supervisor Certificate, Crane Operator certification, or similar industry-standard qualifications) is highly desirable.



Experience:




  • At least 5–8 years of experience in rigging and lifting operations, specifically in turnaround maintenance, shutdowns, or large-scale industrial operations (e.g., oil & gas, LNG, petrochemicals).

  • Experience with planning and executing rigging/lifting operations during planned maintenance activities or turnarounds.

  • Proven experience working in high-risk environments and ensuring compliance with industry safety regulations and standard
