Job Description

Job Objective:



  • To create long-term relationships with the portfolio of assigned clients.

  • The account manager serves to understand the customer’s demands, plan how to meet these demands, and generate sales for the company as a result.


Key Responsibilities

Account Management:



  • Monitor accounts and ensure that activities are up to date

  • Ensure that key deliverable required for each account is delivered on time

  • Attend status update meeting

  • Liaise with client to ensure smooth running of account

  • Liaise with social media and give them maximum support for the smooth running of the social media account


Relationship Management/Customer Retention:



  • Managing a portfolio of accounts

  • Ensuring that clients needs and requests are delivered on time and to specifications

  • Dealing with all aspects of a campaign

  • Leading and training other members of the account team

  • Managing the work of account executives


Marketing Strategies:



  • Delivering sales presentations to high-level executives

  • Manage and grow key customer relationships within existing accounts whilst developing new business opportunities

  • Plan and manage(monitor) major campaigns from start to finish

  • Work with creative to deliver the creative required for the execution of campaigns


Corporate Image/Publicity:



  • Attending client meetings

  • Revenue generation/market expansion:

  • Drive peak performance by way of increased revenue and profit

  • Periodical analysis and reporting business performance as required

  • Devising and implementing strategies for meeting account and revenue targets

  • Reporting on activities and campaigns and presenting at meetings. Providing insights and recommendations

  • Work with finance on media plan approval, vendor payments and client invoicing

  • Prepare and share reconciliation plan for spend

  • Monitor competition prepare and share report

  • Budgeting/Sales and Marketing forecast and Development • Create, negotiate and close commercial agreements

  • Liaise with product/tech to ensure that products are delivered as at when due

  • Engage and work with vendors and influencers


Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • University Degree in any Social Science or Business related course, with minimum of second class

  • Account management skills

  • Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills

  • Strong presentation skills and comfortable performing demonstrations

  • Ability to multi-task effectively.

  • Proficient user of various MS packages

  • Decisive and intuitive

  • A related Post graduate degree/Certification

  • Good negotiation/deal closing skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work under pressure, strict timelines and no supervision

  • Ability to multi-task effectively

  • Creative approach to up-selling to an existing client base and generating new business

  • In-depth knowledge in all aspects of digital marketing, including website content, social media, video production, e-marketing and metrics


Relevant Experience:



  • 2-5 years Corporate Sales and Account Management experience preferably in an advertising Agency, Understanding of Mobile, Web, and online advertising will be an added advantage.
