Job Description



Major Duties and Responsibilities



  • Manage/Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company

  • Own, maintain and defend the integrity of the ledgers and prepare management account generally on weekly monthly, quarterly and yearly basis and or as needed by management for all group companies.

  • Be on top of all projects; prepare project actual and variance reports for management.

  • Ensure the group of companies operates profitably financially and advise management on day to day basis.

  • Disbursing of petty cash and ensuring proper documentation of all petty expenses

  • Preparation of monthly cash and bank reconciliation and presorting daily cash/ bank balances

  • Conduct routine internal check on all transactions and operations before recommendation for approval

  • Preparation of payroll on or before last Monday of every month and pay slips on or before first Monday of every month

  • Maintain filing and invoice monitoring system

  • Preparation of invoice and statement of accounts including reconciliations for clients and suppliers.

  • Contract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary

  • Computation and filing returns on PAYE, 10th day of the month following the month of payment of salaries

  • Be actively involved in the year audit analysis

  • Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement

  • Preparation, monitoring and presentation of monthly and annual budget

  • Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual financial reports or any other report as required by management

  • Research and analyze financial reports and market trends

  • Computation and filing returns on pension, 7 days after payment of salaries

  • Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company

  • Provide insightful information and expectations to Partners to aid in long-term and short-term decision making

  • Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes

  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company

  • Prompt remittance of NSITF, ITF and professional membership dues latest by February of every year

  • Carry out any other duty as may be assigned by the Managing Partner.


Requirements



  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification with 5 - 7 years work experience.
