Perform preliminary, basic, and detailed structural engineering studies and produce associated deliverables, e.g. MTOs, structural calculations, drawings, etc. Perform structural engineering pre-studies as assigned by hierarchies
Review designs produced by COMPANY or contractors to ensure compliance with COMPANY referential, applicable laws and project specifications. Prepare and contribute to equipment specifications for procurement purposes.
Review of subcontractor structural deliverables to ensure technical quality. Read and interpret facility engineering drawings and make necessary modifications or recommendations.
Supports other ECP departments. Field Operations and other entities on structural related issues, Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers of equipment and materials to ensure technical specifications are understood and met.
Support tendering and technical evaluations related to Structural Engineering contractors Prepare and cross-check relevant procedures, international standards and COMPANY technical specifications for application into design activities.
Contributes to Safety Reviews Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP), Hazard Identification studies (HAZID) Participate in Job Risk Assessments (JRA), Constructability reviews and other relevant reviews.
Minimum Qualification:
University Degree in Structural or mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years’ experience in an Engineering Organization in a similar position. Proficiency in common civil/structural applications (AutoCAD, STAADPro, SACS and NSO (Fastrudl, Isymost)). Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Work location:
Based in Port Harcourt or Lagos with regular site visits. Major client is Field Operations (onshore, offshore & deepwater).
