Job Description
- Our client, an Architectural firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee construction projects, specifically midrise and high-rise buildings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a reputable construction company and demonstrate the ability to manage timelines, contractors, materials, and budgets effectively. This position requires a high degree of competence, ownership, and leadership in the field.
Summary of Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones
- Define scope, deliverables, and resource needs
- Oversee day-to-day site operations and project execution
Budget & Cost Management
- Monitor project budgets and control expenditures
- Track and approve payments, invoices, and material procurement
- Ensure cost-efficiency while maintaining quality standards
Team & Contractor Coordination
- Supervise site engineers, foremen, and labor teams
- Coordinate activities of subcontractors and suppliers
- Conduct regular site meetings to ensure alignment and progress
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure construction meets architectural and structural specifications
- Conduct site inspections to maintain quality standards
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, safety codes, and company policies
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies
- Provide regular updates and detailed progress reports
- Address issues or delays proactively and professionally
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans
- Resolve on-site challenges and prevent project delays
- Enforce HSE standards and ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience as a Project Manager or Site Manager in a structured construction company
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management, or related field
- Must have worked on at least one mid-rise or high-rise building project
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in project management tools and construction software
- Membership in a recognized professional body (e.g., COREN, NSE, or NIQS) is an advantage
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on, practical approach to site management
- Ability to multitask and deliver under pressure
- Strong knowledge of HSE protocols and construction regulations
