Job Purpose




  • To perform electrical installation, repair, and maintenance work on dairy farm equipment and infrastructure. 

  • The electrician will support the MEP Supervisor in ensuring uninterrupted power supply, operational safety, and proper functioning of all electrical systems associated with milking parlors, chillers, effluent and cleaning systems, lighting, and general utilities.



Key Responsibilities




  • Electrical Installation & Maintenance

  • Assist in the installation of electrical wiring, distribution panels, and control systems.

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on:

  • Milking parlor equipment (motors, sensors, control panels)

  • Milk cooling systems and compressors

  • Effluent and cleaning systems

  • Generators, transformers, and switchboards

  • Lighting, fans, and farm utility connections

  • Ensure proper grounding and safe operation of electrical devices.

  • Troubleshooting & Repairs

  • Diagnose faults and resolve electrical breakdowns promptly.

  • Replace fuses, switches, and other components as required.

  • Respond to emergency repair calls during shifts.

  • Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain logs of all maintenance work and inspections.

  • Report any equipment concerns or spare requirements to the MEP Supervisor.

  • Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) regulations and SOPs.

  • Use appropriate PPE during work and ensure safe work practices.



Qualifications & Skills Required




  • Trade certification or diploma in Electrical Installation or Maintenance

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial/farm/agricultural setups

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

  • Hands-on experience with generators, panel boards, motors, sensors, and lighting systems

  • Team player with good communication and reporting skills



Work Schedule:




  • 5 days/week, 8 hours/day with possible rotation during critical farm operations

  • Must be willing to work on-call for emergency repairs
