Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Maintenance
- Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on electrical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and repair HV/LV power distribution systems, generators, switchgear, motor drives, alternators, and inverters.
- Ensure proper isolation, testing, and re-energization of electrical systems in accordance with safety procedures.
- Manage interventions using SAP CMMS, logging maintenance activities, and generating technical reports.
- Support maintenance teams and external specialists working under Specific Maintenance Contracts (SMC).
- Ensure compliance with Work Permit (PTW) procedures, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and safe work practices.
Equipment & System Monitoring
- Conduct inspections and performance analysis of electrical equipment to detect anomalies and prevent failures.
- Monitor and maintain HV and LV motor drives, alternators, transformers, HV cells, variable speed units, and power distribution networks.
- Diagnose faults using advanced electrical testing tools and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure continuous power supply integrity to process control, safety instrumented systems (SIS), and emergency backup systems.
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
- Identify recurring maintenance issues, analyze root causes, and recommend reliability improvements.
- Review and optimize preventive maintenance programs for electrical assets.
- Report non-conformance issues, risks, and unsafe conditions to the QHSE department.
- Ensure strict adherence to industry standards, statutory regulations, and company HSE policies.
Profile
- Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnics, or a related field.
- Electrical Safety Certifications (e.g., HV/LV Switching, CompEx for hazardous areas) are an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance on offshore oil & gas installations.
- Strong background in HV/LV power distribution, motor control systems, and rotating equipment.
- Experience working with CMMS systems (SAP preferred) for maintenance tracking and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with switchgear, transformers, variable speed drives (VSD), UPS systems, and power generators.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in an offshore environment.
- High safety awareness and strict adherence to HSE policies.
