JOB SUMMARY
- The Strategy Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring organizational strategies to achieve long-term goals and ensure peak performance. This role involves collaborating with leadership teams, analyzing performance metrics, and aligning organizational processes with strategic objectives.
- The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, strategic foresight, and leadership abilities to drive organizational success through effective planning and performance optimization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning & Financial Analysis
- Lead the development and execution of corporate and departmental strategies in alignment with organizational goals.
- Facilitate strategic workshops and planning sessions with senior leaders.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support business objectives.
- Conduct financial modeling, forecasting and scenario analysis to guide decision-making.
- Assess risks and opportunities in financial planning and provide actionable insights.
Performance Management
- Design and implement performance management frameworks (e.g., KPIs, OKRs, or balanced scorecards).
- Monitor and evaluate organizational performance against strategic objectives.
- Develop dashboards and performance reports to present insights and recommendations to executives.
Process Improvement
- Identify gaps in processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement best practices in strategy execution and performance management.
- Support cross-functional initiatives to streamline operations and optimize resource allocation.
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
- Collaborate with department heads and teams to align their objectives with the broader organizational strategy.
- Act as a strategic partner to leadership by providing data-driven insights and solutions.
- Communicate strategy updates and performance outcomes to key stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed reports, dashboards and presentations on financial performance.
Change Management
- Drive change management initiatives to support the adoption of new strategies and processes.
- Provide guidance and training to teams to ensure understanding and alignment with performance goals.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the development of annual budgets, long term financial plans and strategic roadmaps.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecast, identifying areas for improvement.
Investment & Risk Management
- Evaluate investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions and capital expenditures.
- Develop risk management strategies to safeguard financial health and optimize capital allocation.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, corporate governance and internal controls.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certifications such as CFA, CPA, MBA or Balanced Scorecard Professional (BSP) are advantageous.
- 5+ years of experience in strategy development, financial planning, performance management, or management consulting.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale strategic initiatives and achieving measurable outcomes.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities for interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in strategic frameworks such as SWOT, PESTLE, or Porter’s Five Forces.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities.
